![]() The zipped folder was unpacked on the Xbox and then the HexIns folder install to E. I zipped the HexIns folder to make that quicker but in practice there should not be any difference. No problems I admit I did it by USB flash drive using Xplorer360 rather than FTP. ![]() I've just test installed HexIns as described on one of the few Xboxes I use which did not have it installed. Its to do with the HexIns config.xml which, for whatever reason, was written to be used just from this E:\HexIns location. The shortcut.xbe must of course named "default.xbe" or it won't be recognised as an application. When installed HexIns has to be launched from its "default.xbe" using a file manager.Īs said in my original post you can put a shortcut in a folder in your Apps folder ( E:\Apps\HexIns\shortcut.xbe using a path to E:\HexIns\default.xbe) to launch it as an app but the HexIns folder itself must still be located on the root of the E:\ drive. So check that when you've finished FTPing you have all those 12 folders, their content and the 12 separate files inside your HeXins folder. Some anti-virus programs, depending on their settings, may take it upon themselves to quarantine or even delete folders or files before they're even transferred. That way you can check that every has FTPed. With FTPing I always copy to a F:\TMP folder first then copy that into position using the file manager. You need to FTP that "HexIns" folder to your E:\drive. Under the Stockfiles > e there is a "HexIns" folder (containing 12 folders and 12 files). Most often now I am doing it when replacing a HDD, cloning an existing installation which includes HexInsīut I have a HeXEn archive and I've looked at the contents of the folder I have shown as the HeXEn 2017 Update. ![]() Its a long, long time since I installed HexIns even from disc on any Xbox.
